Daniel Sierra
Daniel Sierra brings more than 23 years of expertise and innovation in the Consulting Industry to Optimal Engineering Partners Inc., a full-lifecycle engineering services firm specializing in embedded and real-time, systems and applications development. As the company’s President and CEO he is the motivational driving force and vision for the company. His hands-on approach is to work closely with clients and help guide delivery engineering teams.
Optimal Engineering is the second consecutive company that Dan has led to 100% annual compound growth over its first four years of operation. Dan launched Viridien Technologies, a services company focused on embedded systems and Internet/Web domains, which in four years grew to $25 million. The company was recognized by Computerworld magazine as one of the fastest growing organizations in New England.
In 1985, Dan co-founded Kenda Systems, Inc., a $50 million global services and solutions consulting firm. As the leader of Kenda's North American division, Dan was responsible for conceiving and implementing all Sales and Resource Management operations as well as customer facing programs that differentiated the firm. These included building the brand and expanding its market success from zero to $35 million in revenue while becoming one of Inc. 500’s fastest growth companies.
Dan’s industry leadership included serving as the chairman of the NACCB's National Legal Defense Fund, and President of its New England Chapter.
Dan earned a B.S. degree in Marketing Management from Bentley College.
Gregory Donovan
Gregory Donovan brings a 20-year software/hardware consulting services and management career to Optimal Engineering Partners, Inc., a full-lifecycle engineering services firm specializing in embedded and real-time, systems and applications development. Recognized as a business leader, Greg brings a wealth of business development, division management, and regional leadership. As a Managing Partner and Co-Founder at Optimal, Greg directs Resource Management, steers Optimal's Local and National Strategic Staff Augmentation (SSA) organizations, and helps govern the company’s overall strategy and execution initiatives.
Prior to Optimal Engineering, Mr. Donovan was a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Viridien Technologies, a $25 million services company focused on embedded systems and Internet/Web domains. Greg managed the company’s on-site Consulting Services Division, which produced yearly consulting revenues of over $11 million.
Before Viridien, Greg served as Regional Vice President for a major US-based consulting services firm, AmBit Technology (TRS/Fluor Corporation). Mr. Donovan became a partner in the firm after roles in Recruiting, Sales, and Management. During his tenure he successfully opened and managed a territory of 5 branches from California to New England, with total revenues exceeding $40 million.

Stephen Ramponi brings a unique blend of experience and energy to his role at Optimal Engineering Partners, Inc., a full-lifecycle engineering services firm specializing in embedded and real-time, systems and applications development. As Co-founder and Managing Partner he is contributing in many areas including strategic planning, human resources, recruiting, operations and marketing.
Before Optimal, Stephen was a key member of Viridien Technologies, a Professional Services organization providing services within embedded systems and Internet/Web domains, where he was responsible for all internal recruiting and human resources. With revenues over $25 million, Computerworld magazine recognized the company as one of the fastest growing companies in New England.
Mr. Ramponi leveraged his earlier experience and success serving as a consultant to local leading companies in the Data Communications, Solutions and Services markets. He advised his clients in core areas of technical recruiting, creative sourcing, employee retention, human resources, immigration, best interview practices and more.
Mr. Ramponi began his career in the consulting industry at Aerotek Inc., one of the largest privately held technical staff augmentation companies in the world. Stephen was able to adopt and implement creative recruiting techniques and in a short time rose to a management position of a new territory that swiftly became one of the highest revenue producing units built primarily with a new customer base.
